Passive design strategies including utilising the sun for heating, shading for cooling, building envelope and environmental factors were all taken into consideration to produce a green home for the selected client profile.
The Green Star sustainability rating and certification system was used to produce a energy rating that would be comparable to Australian standards in order to better understand good sustainability practices.
