A section of the VCASS building was given which I then needed to construct structurally accurate from start to finish. This gave me a better perspective on how the construction of commercial buildings is achieved.. This included calculating the size and type of driven pile for the footings, the concrete foundations and the structural steel elements to hold the building together.

This task developed my understanding of the construction process and as such, developed a proficient ability to read structural and architectural plans, sections and details.
